     I want to tell you about some great R&B I have been listening to.  R&B artist have really been trying to step up their game.  Doing reality shows, releasing mixtapes, etc... Finally realizing what its going to take to interest  this "youtube generation" that we are.

Its looking more like 2003 than 2013 on the Hot 100 this week, as people like Pharrell and Nelly are dominating the charts.  Also, after the release of her interesting video, Miley Cyrus makes a huge leap into the top 5:

Music News: Kanye Racks Up 6th #1 Album

The numbers are in, and Kanye is on top.  Kanye West's latest album sold 327,000 copies during its 1st week of release.  Billboard says its his lowest 1st weeks sales out of all his albums, but it didn't really matter, it was enough to land him at #1 this week on the Billboard 200.  It was a big week for debuts, as 4 albums debuted in the top 10:

1.Yeezus: 327,000

 

 

2.Born Sinner: 297,000

 

 

3.Watching Movies With the Sound Off: 102,000

 

 

4.Talk A Good Game: 68,000

     I did a post a couple months ago, called Good Music.  In the post I talked about some music I had been listening to (or you could say I reviewed it).  I decided to do post like this more often.  The music I will talk about in my Good Music reviews will not necessarily be good music, I just tell you whether or not I thought it was good music.  Good Music is just the name of my reviews.  I'm about to give you an example of some not-so good music in my Good Music review.

To date, Luke James has released 2 mixtapes, #Luke and Whispers in the Dark.  They are both great!  His voice, I must say, is top notch.  He brings an old school soul approach to his vocal stylings, but at the same time, the music sounds very  current.  Luke James is an accomplished songwriter so  the lyrics are good as well, which I can really appreciate.  I have listened to both of them, but I am not as familar with Whispers in the Dark (the latest one)  just yet.  I have listened to some of the songs a couple of times and I did enjoy them, but I have been listening to #Luke alot more.  It takes me along time to listen to music.  I just get it and it might just be on my phone for months, because I get addicted to a couple of songs and just have them on repeat.   With all that being said, I would suggest getting both.  They are both great music.  Soldier and Signs of Rain (from #luke) are in constant rotation over here.

Random Rihanna (6/12/13)

Wow, what's going on with the Heat?  The Spurs destroyed them.  I have been upset with the Heat throughout these playoffs so, I guess.  I won't get off into sports to much on here so anyway, I just want to thank all the visitors.  I am coming up on my 1 year anniversary in July (July 12 to be exact) and I set a goal to have 10,000 visits in a year's time.  Here it is June 12, 1 month before the deadline,  and I just passed 9,000 last night (almost there)!  Just remember to visit me.  I (try to) post several times a week.  I would also appreciate your feedback.  I am looking for ways to improve my blog, so maybe there are some other bloggers out there with some advice...
