Playground Poem

Playground Poem

 Swinging and sliding,

Ducking and hiding,

Running and riding,

Laughing and crying,

Kickin' it.

A slam dunk.

Sweating and musty,

Dirty and dusty,

Hungry

and tired,

yet ready

for more.

Hopscotch,

Wrestling,

Tug-of-war.

Tender and thirsty

and kinda sore.

Those were the days.

Please don't leave me!!!

I'm in trouble-

I die without you close to me

I swear I need you holdin' me

I wish that you were lovin' me

I swear I need your hands on me

I swear there's nothin' wrong with me!!!

Like don't you miss my company?

Why can't we talk exclusively?

How come you can't commit to me?

Do you lack the bravery?

Won't make you a slave to me,

if devotion you gave to me.

The Terrell Show: Cynthia Erivo

This episode brought me to tears just like it did the host of the show.  Watch both parts!!!  This is part 2 of the video.  I discovered this amazing, heartfelt performer on here.

Thankful 2019

Thankful 2019

Thankful for a new car

Thankful for a new home

and another

Thankful for a new job

and another

and another

then two,

then an old one again,

then another,

thankful for a sister-in-law,

and my brother,

who kept me up

when they kicked me out and put me down

and all sorts of colorful personalities I have found

that for the first time,

I met my nephew

Thankful that I have a different view

that I realize that I’m me

I realized that I’m free

I realized I was chained

but thankfully,

this year,

get a chance to start over

and another

and another

Thankful for never ending

Mercy and Grace.

Mariah Carey: Underneath the Stars

Mariah Carey has been celebrating big time this year for the 30th anniversary of her debut album.  She is releasing all of her content from the vault.  This video was apparently never released for whatever reason the record label had during the time.  Carey stated it was lost but now it has been found and we get to see it all these years later!!!
