When alone in that alley,
please do not dilly-dally
if it is after dark,
do not stroll in the park
don’t you lay out on that beach
after midnight has been reached
there’s a stalker in your presence
there’s someone at your door
there’s a spill that you can’t explain
on your kitchen floor
there’s a passenger in your car
that you did not know about
there’s a figure in the shadows
and it seeks to take you out
so when it reveals itself,
run to your neighbor’s house
and lock the door behind you
better hide and scream and shout
better flail, and pant, and cry, and shutter with dread
and when it penetrates your force field,
you should shoot it in the head
then the people will rejoice
for the fiend has died,
but shortly after it is unveiled
it just went off to hide
it will return for a sequel to your doomsday.
