Fueled by months of drama surrounding Left-Eye and her infamously burning down her then boyfriend, NFL player Andre Rison's home while they were recording their sophomore album, and then later, TLC's members filing for bankruptcy during the enormous success of CrazySexyCool, buzz was high and stayed high for the feisty trio. TLC did not disappoint. They brought the good music along with the turmoil.
CrazySexyCool (1994)
CrazySexyCool was released at the end of 1994. It sold over 11 million copies in America, and was one of the top albums on Billboard's year end chart in 1995 & 1996. It also ranked as # 25 on Billboard's list of albums of the decade (1990s). It was certified diamond by the RIAA and has sold in excess of 23 million copies worldwide. At the time of its release, it was the highest selling album by a female group in history. It won the group one of the first Grammy Awards for Best R&B Album and has been mentioned on several list as "G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time) albums.
